I wrote this on the FB producers page, but fear it may have been lost due to a lot infighting so i am repeating it here, slightly edited.. when something can be as easily fixed as this, IE a simple line to the Producers but isn't, then poor communication changes from the usual inept fumbling we are ...

I think it's simply a clumsy translation. "Droits de diffusion" in French clearly means royalties. It translates word for word as broadcasting rights. Diffusion is a term that means broadcasting in the largest sense, meaning sending a message to a large audience. again that is only guess ...

Broadcasting rights is not the same thing as royalty/Copyright payments; the first is usually taken to mean you have the right to broadcast a show that is exclusively yours.. its a term mostly used in sports broadcasts: for example, one station has the right to broadcast the world cup, while others...

RADIONOMY hosts and broadcasts the Radio Stations created on its platform and covers all costs relating to broadcasting rights. Paying royalties is certainly a cost relating to broadcasting rights. If producers are responsible for covering royalties then most of us are already on the hook for thousands. Royalty costs can add up fast and would almost certainly bankrupt many producers. But the question is would rights organizations really go after individual producers? Given how many producers ...
