have i understood it correctly, that you can only uplload a max of 25 tracks at one go? To load enough tracks for 24 hours would take24 days! Is there a quicker way?

No, not correct. You can line up a max of 25 tracks, start them uploading, and wait until they finish. But then you can start again with another group of 25.

It's tedious, because you have to keep repeating the process with each group of tracks. But before the limit was set, when people tried to upload 100s of tracks at a time, the upload system was crashing frequently.

Yes, but the tracks have to be validated as well and none of this happens immediately. It all takes such a very long time.

I suggest you fill in your signature as specified as suggested in another thread - see https://board.radionomy.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=568#p1969

Hello,

You can upload a maximum of 25 files at a time and the upload system will not allow to upload more files as long as the number of invalid files has reached 25.

What is an invalid file:
1. a file with the title and artist metadata are not met
or
2. A file with an artist name unkown in Radionomy database. Once this artist has been validated once, it does notneed to be validated again in the future.

What you can do is to edit the metadata before uploading with, for example, a free software like MP3Tag so a file will only be invalid if the artgist is unknown.

Note that the "clock" icon just means that the sound is not dupliated yet on the server and notvready to be included in a planning, but it does not prevent to upload more files.
