So, I'd seen a number of people saying that if you use the "intro/extro" feature on filler tracks - it would end up messing with your mix points, and create gaps/silence for a few seconds at a time all over the place. Also cause even ALL of your mix points to not work?
And seen it explained as a glitch in the system.

Is this still the case?
I generated my first plannings yesterday, and my station officially started this morning. (woohoo!)
But I figured there wouldn't be any ads (or fillers) until I had my 13 listener hours per day.
The fillers started right away, and they don't have intros/extros due to my fear they'd mess up my mix points (which are crucial for me with my station being half techno)... and i'm realizing that my mix is going to sound crazy with these fillers in between (without intros/extros).

Sorry so many words. Am I safe putting intros/extros in and resubmitting my planning? Or is it going to rip apart my mix points? :o

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If i take one of your fillers and click on "play extro mix", there is a gap before I hear the fisrst note of the following track (a default one), so you should set the yellow "mix" point a little bit earlier to have a good mix.

I don't believe that was question being asked Domi. I think the OP is referring to the bug caused when you have an intro assigned to a box (not sure if it is caused by individual track intros) - this causes the extro mix points of all tracks in that box to be ignored. I am assuming the bug is because the system counts the intro as part of the track so pushing the extro point further out than it should be.

Thank you for pointing this out Elmbury. This is what I was referring to reading about. My "box" is a 12-hour-long playlist - of which I have two in the day (plus a short clock to finish up the day). So if it throws out the mix points for the entire box - i'll be in big trouble.
