So the Producers Pact has been updated

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=575#p1833

No changes to maximum number of tracks we can upload
No changes to audience minimum levels

No consideration for Producers and impact all of the changes have had on us and continue to have on us

Down to 134 hours as of today - the end is nigh !

Are you sure? I can't believe they won't take this into account. As we have a new producer pact, maybe they need to restart our accounts from "now". That would be fair. (Also as we will have no access to the library, they should increase the number of tracks we can upload.)

:?: BTW - What does this mean? Any idea anyone?

8. Stream

The Radio Station Producer shall refrain from relaying, copying, or transmitting a RADIONOMY stream in any manner whatsoever without RADIONOMY’s prior express consent. The act of relaying a RADIONOMY Radio Station could lead to the removal, pure and simple, of the Radio Station by RADIONOMY without notice.

Are streaming / relaying different to broadcasting? :?:

Yep section 8 makes no sense to me. Typical RN bad English, That's not law speak gobbledygook. I should know.
"you wish to beautiful listening of this radio" see what I mean.

edit, unless it means we cant use the stream on our own websites

Can't be that though...

10. Listening to Radio Station

The Radio Station Producer shall develop Radio Station audiences as much as possible, for example by listing its Radio Station in online directories (at the occasion of the registration of its Radio Station in a third directory, the Radio Station Producer has the obligation to use exclusively the URL beginning by “listen.radionomy.com”), by importing one of RADIONOMY’s players on its websites/blogs, the environments where it is present, and for which RADIONOMY has developed a specific Player (for example Facebook, Netvibes, widgets…), and usually by publicizing its Radio Station to the greatest number of people.

Maybe they just meant All your base are belong to us.

Could this mean they don't want us to use platforms like Radioline, Streema, YourMuze, etc, only the Radionomy websites/apps/webplayers?

Just a thought.

Radio 1: Several Shoutcast-for-Business hosted stations - see our website for more details
(May migrate to another provider down the road)

This simply means, for instance, that you cannot restream the Radionomy stream onto another server or transmitter ...

example 1 - you create a shoutcast server at http://shoutcast.myawesomefm.com and you set it up to get its input from http://listen.radionomy.com/myawesomefm but you tell your users to stream you at http://shoutcast.myawesomefm.com/rockon instead.

Sure, no one would know it's a radionomy stream since it would look like your stream instead, but then who would want to do it? It would look like just one listener to Radionomy's server (the connection between your individual server and Radionomy's), even if you had a thousand listeners on your own shoutcast station.

example 2 - using Radionomy audio as input for an FM or AM transmitter - letting it run your station instead of other automation software...

In either case, it would create licensing and management issues....

Thanks RadioXUS. That makes sense, although it would never have occurred to me to do that. As you say, it makes no sense.

(If anyone wants any help with their English, feel free to get in touch.) :D
