Media giant Vivendi resold the Belgian platform for web radios - Radionomy - to founder Alexandre Saboundjian. That message BFMtv Wednesday and the news is confirmed in the annual report of the group. Three years ago, the French bought 64 percent of Radionomy for 24 million euros. The idea was to integrate the platform, but ultimately it was abandoned because of legal risks, according to BFMtv. For example, there was a legal procedure from Sony Music, which claimed that Radionomy violated copyright on certain music tracks.
In the middle of last year the start-up, which allows users to set up their own online radio station free of charge, was then sold again. The selling price is not known; in 2016 Vivendi already included a write-down of 21 million euros in the books.

Yes. There are plenty of news and articles in the French media. This is the link to one in the French newspaper "Le Figaro": ... ionomy.php

It could be translated like this:

"The media giant Vivendi sold the Belgian radio platform Radionomy to its founder Alexandre Saboundjian, three years after its acquisition, according to several sources confirming the information of BFMTV. Vincent Bolloré's group had acquired 64% of Radionomy in 2015 for 24 million euros, but abandoned the idea of integrating this asset especially because of legal risks, says BFMTV on its website Wednesday. The sale on August 17, 2017 of this start-up that offers users to create their own webradio, is indeed mentioned in the annual financial report of Vivendi published mid-February. Vivendi had already recorded in its accounts a goodwill impairment charge of € 21 million for Radionomy in 2016.

The start-up was finally sold to the company MusicMatic, controlled by the founder of Radionomy Alexandre Saboundjian, confirmed a source close to AFP. "The mayonnaise did not take" with the acquired company, said this source. BFMTV also said that two months after the takeover, Major Sony Music attacked Radionomy and Alexandre Saboundjian in a California court. "According to the major, Radionomy proposed in his catalog of the songs without having the right to exploit them, and thus violated the copyrights", indicates the site. Launched in 2008 by four Belgian entrepreneurs, Radionomy allows users to create their own online radio for free, in exchange for commercials, and provides them with the tools to spread, promote and monetize it. Radionomy Group also owns Shoutcast streaming technology and the Winamp audio player.

So, the most interesting thing is that Vivendi resold Radionomy to their former owners more than 6 months ago and the producers were not informed till now....
