thought it would be important to re-post this HERE as it was hidden in the tech section (guess they were hoping people wouldn't see it before it was too late)

Hello,

We will proceed next week to our trimestrial audience calculation and will deactivate the Radio Stations that do not meet the minimum audience level required, cfr below an extract of the producer pact.

I would like to remind everyone that those numbers are based on your radio station's QUICK STATS (not on the live stats): the quick stats are coming directly from our servers' log.

We know we had some technical issues during the last few weeks, rest reassured that the problematic days will NOT be taken into account for our average audience calculation.

13.1. Minimum audience:

If three (3) months after the activation of the Programming’s retransmission by Radionomy, the Programming has not reached an average audience of 12 hours/day, RADIONOMY shall deactivate the Radio Station and remove all Radio Station data from the servers (including songs uploaded by the user). Such data shall be definitively lost and may not be recovered.

If nine (9) months after the activation of the Programming’s retransmission by Radionomy, the Programming has not reached an average audience of 130 hours /day, RADIONOMY shall deactivate the Radio Station and remove all Radio Station data from the servers (including songs uploaded by the user). Such data shall be definitively lost and may not be recovered.

This average daily audience shall be checked four times a year, over a period of thirty (30) random days, according to the following schedule:

- March 1st to 30th
- June 1st to 30th
- September 1st to 30th
- December 1st to 30th

Radio Station Age Threshold Required Minimum Audience
-> 3 months > 12h / day
-> 9 months > 130h / day

13.2. Summary of RADIONOMY’s Radio Station Audience Calculation

Every day, RADIONOMY counts the total number of broadcast hours from midnight to midnight. Each broadcast minute is taken into account, subject to the listener disconnecting before midnight. For listeners disconnecting after midnight, their audience duration is included in the statistics for the day they disconnect. RADIONOMY calculates the average hours broadcast per day for thirty (30) days. RADIONOMY makes all due effort to ensure broadcasting is not disrupted. In order to mitigate technical issues that may momentarily disrupt broadcasting, RADIONOMY adds a fixed 1% to the average hours broadcast.

hold on a second

the TOS states:

This average daily audience shall be checked four times a year, over a period of thirty (30) random days, according to the following schedule:

- March 1st to 30th
- June 1st to 30th
- September 1st to 30th
- December 1st to 30th

1)can you tell us WHY this has been changed to November suddenly? when you are VERY aware, that the quick stats, and even our listeners have All GONE DOWN due to the many problems with streaming, and bugs which as a result chased away MANY listeners

2)Also isn't this supposed to to be over a period of ONE month, so it would be from 1st November to 30th November would it not.. Next week is only the 21st..

what would be the EXACT date.. IE from what date to what date will you be taking this evaluation? and what days PRECISELY will you be leaving out

3) there have been MANY reports all over the forum in many languages that the quick stats are not correct and do not reflect real time findings by the radios

4) in order to deactivate a radio you must then supply all of us with undoctored log reports, ie the same ones you claim to use to penalize the stations, you would also have to proof that your calculations are correct and all servers/ countries/players and so on have been taken into account.. something else that many reports have shown that this is NOT the case

5) WHY would you suddenly change your schedule like this, your timing is VERY suspicious indeed. I Notice that there has been a large influx of new radios, and your servers have NOT been able to cope with the weight, is this now to a) get rid of many radios in as quick way possible to relieve the pressure on the servers and b) a neat way to try get rid of producers who question your actions and your ethics.

6) why have we not received an official email about this change in procedure?

you know full well that all radios have suffered greatly due to the new RMO and your cost cutting re servers and staff. my radio was running happily at plus minus 140/150 per month never actually going below 130 for over a year in fact longer.. since these last two months the numbers have dropped drastically due to problems that YOU have caused, YOU are responsible for.

and mine is not the only radio.

if you do this , i can inform you, you will NOT be getting rid of your problems but will be bringing on yourself MANY MANY more, it is unethecial and it is using loopholes to try solve problems that you caused. your credibility will be ruined

1) There was no calculation done yet for September 1st to 30th because of the new RMO, this is why we are doing it now. So actually this is good news for most small radios as they were able to stay a little longer on the platform.

2) One month is 30 days. So it will be the last 30 days of your station.

3) QUICK stats are correct, and as stated above we will remove the problematic days from our calculations.

4) If your QUICK stats are incorrect, feel free to send us your full reports and proofs here: support@radionomy.com

5) You are never happy NBT. If we keep all the radios you complain because our servers are overloaded, if we remove them you also complain... The producer pact is clear regarding audience levels, cfr my first post. And if you have the required audience, you remain on the platform, even if you question our actions ;)
